size ball hitch

What's up guys, I've been using a 2" size trailer hitch ball to pull my boat, and it's seems like it's been loose lately only when I drive it hooked up to my trailer. I have a 2010 Axis 22,with the standard boatmate trailer it comes with. Maybe I have been using the wrong size.

What size ball hitch do you guys use for your Axis trailer? Thanks.

Ok, cool thanks man. My trailer tongue said the same, didn't know if anyone tried anything different. I just have to avoid the potholes more then.

I think the "looseness" you feel is the mechanical brake actuator in the tongue. I know I had a similar thought when I first towed the boat last September. I always notice it when I initially accelerate and you get that jerk sensation from the hitch. I thought for sure my hitch or the ball was loose. I suppose it's just something you get use too.

On second thought it might be adjustable for a "tighter" feel.
