I just purchased a 2011 Axis A20 and installed 900# Sumo straight lines in rear lockers and 950# Sumo in front. Took it out yesterday to test the ballast and the rears work fine. The front is acting up though. It will fill fine but when you go to drain it, it is kicking the circuit breaker (under throttle beside drivers right leg) for that ballast 7-8 seconds after hitting "drain." I am 99% sure I have it hooked up right. Vent hose hooked to front top hole on bag, fill hose hooked to rear top hole, and the drain on the rear bottom hole.

I checked both valves underneath black cover in front of fuel tank (where the middle hull plug is) and they are both open. This boat is new to me but not my first Axis.

Anyone ever ran into this problem? I have like 500lbs of weight in the bow and can't get it to drain lol. Any help is much appreciated!

Might have air trapped in the drain line caused by a loop. Open your battery compartment, stick your head inside and look right. You should see a small void and you can either see or reach in and feel the lines. If the drain line hose is too long tge extra length will loop in that space. This loop causes an air pocket with won't let the drain pump prime. If you see or feel a loop, flatten the loop out and try to push down or lift the front of the bow sack to force water down the line into the pump with the pump on.

I'd check the pump itself. Might be bad or could just have some debris in it keeping it from turning. Does any water pump out before the breaker kicks in?

I've saw it barely spit out a small, small tad bit of water when I turn it to drain but only once or twice. It usually doesn't. Exactly where is the pump so I can check it? And how would I go about testing it?

I did trim the drain line when installing the sac. Probably 12-16" to make it drain quicker and not be looped up. How would I go about flushing air out of the drain line?

I had a similar issue. The drain pump is the only one not fixed to the floor (in my 2012). I was able to gently pull the pump up through the circular hatch and open it up to get it working. Sometimes if not used frequently they can seize up.

Okay, I'll try that and see if I can get it working. The front sack does drain out of the front holes correct? I know it did on my 2011 A22 but I never paid attention to how the hoses were routed.

Figured it out. The front drain pump was seized like stated above. ^ Freed it up and it is working perfectly. Thanks for the info!
