Mondo vs T22: $5K more, less room in boat, less storage, smaller beam and overall length, inferior wakeboard and surf wave in comparison by a long shot, less market share when looking to resell privately when YOU WILL want another boat. Nice interior though as I've owned a Moomba in 2009.
T22 vs Mondo: $5K less (need to pay dealer to install PnP bow, maybe $600-$1000?), proven great surf and wakeboard wake, bigger boat, more storage, more room to relax, surfgate system that makes it desirable for resell, much better market share compared to Moomba for resell (as far as boating public). You'll be happier, longer.
IF you decide on the Mondo, here's what will probably happen. You said this is your first boat. Well, you've already made a great decision to get right in with a new/newer wakeboat instead of getting a small Bayliner type boat and wanting to upgrade 3-6 months later. IF you get the Mondo this will put you "in" with the "snobby" wakeboat boat crowd as the Bayliner crowd looks at us often. Then you'll meet and ride/surf other wakeboats like the Malibus, Axis A22, T23, A24, T22, newer Tige's, newer Nautiques, Centurions (which are surf machines), MB 23TWB, maybe an MC X30 , X23, or X25. Then you'll get your buyer's remorse on your Mondo after you see the waves and wakes. ive had 8 boats in my life, I know the upgrade mind game. Just want you to get a great boat up front the first time with the better wave/wake to enjoy.
