This LED light makes the install modification much easier since its flush on the bottom. I like the LED look better too:

Switching out the bow light with a flight LED next...

That does look better. Where did you get the part from?

Thanks and thanks! 21 slips shared with 6 other neighbors. We are down about 3.5 feet == A little lower than typical for this time of year. http://www.smithmountainlakelevel.com We are luckily to still have 7' of water under the slips.

okay took mine apart tonight and have a washer and bolt holding on the white rope swivel so I can still use it. My neighbor makes LED whips any size and color for buggies, quads, dessert cars/trucks and RV's for glamis and the desert. He makes them with the quick connect anchor light that the older boats used. Now we have the anchor light on top and I want to have him make a 1' tall LED anchor light that will just click into the tow point.

Do you still have the bolt holding the white rope swivel on? I don't think you can since you ran the wires down through the aluminum threaded piece. How is all of that secured?

Thanks, and yours looks great.

No bolt. I had considered a hollow bolt, but short term I flipped the black aluminum cap upside down on the post. Mine was plenty tight to hold for a couple test runs. Once I got the light all working the way I wanted I epoxy-ed the cap on the post.

got it. I was thinking a hollow bolt as well. I am working with my neighbor and we have figured something out that is really cool. I will post it up once I get it done, should be in a few months.

Thanks for the idea.
