Out on the boat today engine fault came on along with service required. It was hard to start when finally started rpms were around 1500 could only put boat in gear and could give it no throttle, smelled like fuel bad, gas gauge was also all over the place not sure if that has anything to do with anything, any help is appreciated and all gauges looked normal temp was 160ish and oil pressure was 28psi at idle

what were the fault #'s? sounds like an injector might be stuck open and put it in limp mode

Is there anyway you can get the faults to come up without a scan tool? Tool it to the dealer and they said it had an ecm ground fault, one ground was corroded and they re flashed computer per indmar

Alright thanks I just bought it and the delearship took care of it for me this time but will be good to know if it happens again

Your owners manual will tell you how to check the diagnostics. It will give you an error code and then google it. What you should be wondering is why. Why did that become an issue?

The dealer said they found corrosion on a block ground that came off the computer and some corrosion on the battery
