That is all I have seen used around the shop and I have used them in the past. Has a telescoping pole so it will stay in the right place under the boat. They do not recommend more than a few thousand RPMs when running under the fake a lake so do not run your engine at high RPMs. I think they run in the 40-60 price range depending on where you find them.

Flush Pros work great. I have one on my boat with a remote hose running to the transome so hooking up the hose is easy. Here is a link to one http://www.westmarine.com/1/1/1826-flus ... -hose.html

I reccommend a transom flush kit too. My marina installed the one from malibu/axis, works like a charm. hook up a water hose to it, turn it on. keeping engine at idle for 5-10 mins.

I use the Fake a Lake and have also seen most shops use them for servicing...its easy, quick and an inexpensive way to go!

Is the factory installed flush kit installed between the transmission cooler and the impeller? I was thinking of adding a Perko kit, but a few other threads on other boards suggested that the unit should be installed between the intake and v-drive.

On my last boat I installed the perko about 2 1/2 feet from intake. You can always spring for the hose add on if you're comfy putting a hole in the transom for the flush kit- :)

this is how I have mine set up on my a22. its easy to plug the hose into it. it would also be easy to run a hose back to the transom.
