Thanks ahole. You just made me realize I ordered the wrong fittings for my vent line that I had planned to put on my rear bags this weekend. Oh well, I didn't feel like working on it anyways.

7/8 = 14/16. hardly any difference. The 1/16 difference can be accounted for in your measuring devices/methods. Which makes sense because the Ronix bag uses the same exact fittings (1" NPT threads).

Give me SL or BFI I don't care as long as they stay on and it doesn't have to have a bandaid on it to maybe work

7/8" is pretty accurate. I tried a couple of different measuring methods with the same results.

I just bought these and also having the same problem. The fittings just falls through the bag threads but not all of them ,some will tighten up. Those rings are not going to work. What I done to get out on the lake and has seamed to work so far is take some electrical tape a round the fitting a couple of times and then thread it into the bag. it has worked so far and stays tight. My arrow bag is fine everything tightened up. It's just the rears. I. Hope they make this right, they do cost a lot of money not being able to use them properly.

ask and you shall receive haha. Well done dezul! I really appreciate everyone's opinion and feedback on this. I've always used BFI and have been very happy with them. With the positive reviews on this site I was "sold" on the sumo bags. I waited until I heard they had new bags and made my order. Lucky for me, I ordered from Boardstop and asked them to notify me if there was an issue with the new bags. They came right out and told me the arrow bags they just received were still having problems. (600,750,900's are new) That SL had just sent them old product when they reorder this year after sending all their stock back last year.

I can imagine its a tuff position to be in when you have a faulty product and decided to return your stock and not carry them anymore, just to have customers beating on the door to get them because the word is out that they have been fixed. To then find out they haven't, and SL had the nerve to ship out known defective product. Just my thoughts here.

After getting all the information yesterday about the fittings and learning that sumo's fittings are a whopping 1/16" bigger I still see it as a huge gimmick. I decided to go with tried and true and just as "high flow" BFI. Boardstop was more than accomadating and switched my order and sent it out with in a few short hours. If you are considering bags do yourself a favor pick up the phone and call them. They are very knowledgeable about the different products out there. and in no way did I feel like they were trying to shove something down my throat. I was impressed. I do know that not all retailers are like that and some will push a product just because it has a higher margin.

You can read all the reviews you want online but you probably need to consider the position of whos giving that review (did they get bags for free, or at a discount, maybe an affiliate of a sponsor). Although its not always possible (it was difficult for me) to actually go see the product in person and be able to compare them to one another and see for yourself who makes a better product or what product offers you features you want or need. I was only able to compare two brands but I'm happy with what I chose. To each their own, buy what you feel comfortable with.

The 900lb SL sumo bags I purchased for my rear lockers don't need a fix. The fitting fits tight. The only problem right now is the lack of arrow bags with the new style fitting.
