Hey Axis friends-
My '13 A20 recently sold and I was waiting for that to happen before dropping the order on a new Axis. It was a great boat to say the least and our first inboard. We put about 180 hours on the clock over 2 seasons, and saw a lot of progression.

I made a trip down to my dealer, Copher's Boat Center, over the weekend to make everything official. We decided on the '15 A22 (once you go pickle fork, it's hard to go back). Copher's took really good care of us as always, and had the new boats in inventory so we could check everything out first hand. I always have a ton of questions no matter how much research I do, and they were a huge help throughout the entire process.

Here's what we decided on...

2015 A22, straight up theme: white gel with ebony accents, white tower, white trailer

Since we went with something more subtle on the exterior we wanted to make the interior a little louder, and also do something different...so, we decided on a Green Metal/White/Black interior scheme. Of course I only have the rendering right now, but will post up some pics when it's delivered. We'll be without a boat for the next 2 months but that's ok. I'm going to count on all of you to post pics and videos while I patiently wait.

Options:
Standard Bimini - w/Rope Storage and Surf Board Storage
Monsoon 350HP
Acme 2313 Torque Prop

So which friends will you be bumming rides off of until your boat arrives? Got the fat sacs on order?

Well..most of my friends actually bum rides from me. A buddy has an older Malibu lsv that I can get some sets on. Thankfully my dealer is going to have a couple of demo days coming up that I can take advantage of. Otherwise, I might be hanging out at the ramp with my gear and a 20 spot.

And yep, I'm all set on the fat sacs. Going with the FH 750 rear bags again. Those combined with crew and wedge should pump out a sick surf wake. I have a few extra bags and a tsunami pump but assume I'll need extra bow/mid-ship weight if anything. I know the wakeboard wake will be huge! Can't wait...

If your going to be towing much, I would get a black trailer. It is easier to touch up paint on due to road debris and rocks.

Our boat storage is only about a mile away from where we launch. I had the same concern with the white tower showing dirt, bugs, etc, but since we tow so little and try to keep everything spotless it shouldn't be an issue.

Also, I wanted the trailer to match the tower, and white tower was a must for me with the straight up scheme because the white gel coat transitions to the white tower. Yes, I've put way too much thought into this, haha.

I've been needing to pickup a set of rock tamers anyway for road trips and trips down to the dealer. The white trailer will help motivate me.

My figure may fluctuate if there is a lake limo at the ramp with the rumble of an upgraded motor. Lol.

No, it's not flake. I love the look don't get me wrong, but just couldn't justify the up charge for it. I actually seriously considered going with the z5 bimini, but the price and the fact that the standard bimini has surf board storage now made the decision pretty easy.

I may be heading East soon! I'd go broke taking sets behind AJ's boat, haha.
