Weird, we have a 2012 here with almost 1,000 hours and there are zero issues with it. Definitely isolated to 2011.

The 2013 vinyl is beautiful! We had out first 2012 turn up week before last and the interior is now pretty much the same as a 'Bu. Very impressive vinyl and stitching etc.

Unfortunately not isolated to 2011. I have a 2012 with only 120 hours on it and the skybox seat is ripping away in two places along the piping. On the bright side, Axis is awesome and is replacing skin under warranty.

Just took my Axis in to be winterized and also had an issue with my skybox seat ripping. Covered by warranty with no hassle.

I worked through my dealer...took pictures of the tearing and they dealt with Axis/Malibu to get a new skin.

Is there any precedent of Malibu paying labor in addition to parts, even tho its more than a year into the warranty? If this is a wide spread issue, I'd think Malibu would like it fixed?

I guess what I'm asking is should I push my dealership to go to bat for me?

I have replacement rear corner skins on the way for the same issue. Mines a 2010, so Ill install these. I did the bench and with a little help and an electric stapler it was easier than dragging the seats to the dealer.

Have you talked to your dealer? My dealer, Great Wakes Boating, has ALWAYS taken care of me. Perfect? No, but they always take care of me. I'm getting new seats, and based on what they've done in teh past, I doubt they'll charge me any labor.

I'm generally not one to trash people/companies in a public setting, but I've been very frustrated with my dealer. Lack of attention to detail, and generally subpar service. I actually will be getting my boat serviced at the local mastercraft dealership (head and shoulders above the 'bu dealer) once I've had this issue corrected.
